Warren Platner - 4x Chair by Knoll International
Warren Platner - 4x Wire Dining Group Chair - 1966 for Knoll International.
Iconic Dining Group by Knoll International, consisting of 4 chairs and 2 upholstered stools from private first ownership. (the set was purchased from knoll international by the previous owner around the year in the late 60ties).
In 1966, Warren Platner developed the Wire collection for Knoll International, which impressed with its very elaborate production: the individually welded round steel rods form a unique shape that creates the desired moiré effect when viewed. The chairs and table are extremely elaborately finished. The steel is nickel-plated, a much warmer effect in the living environment than chrome-plating!
The original red/orange upholstery by Kvadrat in Hallingdal fabric is wonderful to the touch..
