The Lounge Chair was designed by Charles Eames and Ray Eames in 1956.
In the US produced by Herman Miller - in Europe under license by Vitra. During certain periods (especially for models intended for Europe or export pieces), both brands were listed or there were two separate labels (e.g., production label + distribution label).
This lounger dates from the transition / cooperation phase (1970s–1980s).
During this period, combination labels “Herman Miller for Vitra” or 2 labels with both logos are common.
