Set of 6 - MR10 Cantilever Chairs by Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe for Thonet.
Mies Van der Rohe first showed his cantilever chair in 1927 at the Weißenhofsiedlung, Germany.
Inspired by the cantilever chairs of Mart Stam and Marcel Breuer, Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe replaced the right angles on the front legs with a graceful curve which had the advantage of increasing elasticity while preventing material fatigue.
Curved frame of chromium plated tubular steel and black leather... These MR10 chairs were produced by Thonet in the 1970s. the authenticity of these chairs was certified by Helen Thonet.
Very nice Vintage Condition! One sits convincingly comfortable, because the tubular frame allows an easy swinging...
