Ella and Pitr are two artists who live in Saint-Etienne. They have been working together since 2007 and have made a name for themselves in the world of street art by painting gigantic frescoes horizontally, on the ground or on the roofs of buildings. It is most often impossible to discover their "Sleeping Colossus" without owning a helicopter or a drone... or by surfing on the Internet and especially by going on their website. This idea came to them by chance: one day in 2012, a parachutist asked them to draw a target on the ground so that he would know where he should land. A click for a couple who were desperately looking for ever bigger walls. The roofs of buildings or industrial buildings are flat surfaces that are easy to invest in, and then they can work on them without disturbing anyone while being closer to the sky, a bit like birds. At the end of 2017, around forty Colosses will have been completed in France and elsewhere. The "Lilith & Olaf" fresco in Norway in 2015 would be the largest fresco ever created with more than 20.000m². Fortunately, they also paint their "Giants" on visible surfaces of the ground, but it must be said that these vertical works are quite rare. Ella and Pitr also work a lot on canvas. Ella and Pitr also work a lot on canvas and regularly have solo exhibitions at the Le Feuvre gallery in Paris, which has an exclusive collaboration with them for France.
