Olivier Burel aka Ogreoner aka Ogre was born in Lyon, France.he started drawing from early childhood.during his school years, drawing was an escape from his boring lessons but also a way to achieve true freedom. When he was in high school, a friend introduced him to the exciting world of street art and the artist immediately became hooked. Soon after, he started leaving his labels on the streets of his hometown and created a name for himself that inspired many people to look for him and offer him a job. Ogreoner’s creative process begins with the formulation of a clear idea of the future work in the artist’s mind before he begins to transfer it to the chosen surface. Keeping a sense of control over the entire creative process is important to the artist, but he is also careful to leave room for accidents of line and material in his work. The artist is greatly influenced by the work of the famous Belgian painter Michel Seuphor, but also by his fellow street artists such as Delta, Lek, Kofie, Satone... In 2000 Ogreoner travelled to Germany where he encountered some of his greatest influences, including BOE from Viagrafik Dems, Okuda, Dibo and the Pornostars of Spain team, but the images he sees every day around him remain the greatest source of inspiration for the artist, who draws on a variety of influences from the street, metro and fashion magazines.
